Tiffany Haddish joked that “jail is nice” following her recent arrest.

The star was arrested for driving under the influence after she was found asleep in her car over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Haddish has now made light of the situation.

“You ain’t lived until you got arrested in Beverly Hills, OK. It’s beautiful over there. I’ve been in quite a few jails, just like the rest of y’all,” the Hollywood star — who previously claimed that her Tesla parked itself after she dozed off behind the wheel — told TMZ. “If you gonna do something, get arrested over there because that jail is nice.”

In November, Haddish revealed that she intended to “get help” after she was arrested. The actress also insisted that the incident would “never happen again.”

“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” the comedian told “Entertainment Tonight.”

Despite this, Haddish praised the Beverly Hills Police Department for their handling of the situation. Meanwhile, in 2022, she was arrested in Atlanta for DUI.

The movie star was also charged with improper stopping on a roadway, and she subsequently joked about the situation during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

“I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man, a good man. God went ahead and sent me four in a uniform,” the award-winning star said.

“I wasn’t expecting it,” Haddish continued. “I was not expecting that at all. Now, I’ve got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better.”

“Subsequent investigation led to Ms. Tiffany Haddish being arrested for driving under the influence. She was transported to the Fayette County Jail without incident,” police told People at the time. The actor was eventually released after posting a $1,666 bond.
