Oftentimes, cellphones can be a source of stress for many adults. Whether it’s personal  or business-related, dealing with deadlines and hurdling over the troubles of slow Wi-Fi and technical issues, just like any other device, it can be easy to get upset about a phone. At Google, with the Pixel 8, they want you to associate their new product with peace.

The company unveiled its new Mint Pixel 8 phone, created to bring serene and peaceful thoughts, as opposed to the opposite.

“It’s a breath of fresh air and a cool spring breeze,” Jenny Davis, a Google color, material, and finish design manager said. “It’s serene, yet not boring. It’s a luminous color that really invites the mind into a state of calmness — energized calmness.”

As far as features go, the phone can take your temperature and allow you to search for items by simply circling it on a picture. This update has enhanced what many would consider extremely advanced AI features. Users can also share files with other nearby Pixel phones, whether or not they’re connected to the internet at the time.

To design the billboard promoting the latest phone, Google partnered with Ricardo Gonzalez,  a Brooklyn, New York-based artist who is from Mexico.

“The campaign is about taking over the billboard and making a visual statement where people wonder: What happened to the billboard? Is it painted or not?” Gonzalez said. “The takeover of the mint green is the statement: The color is the message.”
