Vivica A. Fox is coming back to television.
This time the versatile actress will serve as host of a new cooking competition show called “Family Recipe Rumble” that she c0-created alongside Woody Woodbeck of Bravo’s “Southern Hospitality” and Georgia based Rainbow Head Productions (“Ghost Brothers,” “The Prancing Elites Project”).
According to Deadline, “FFR” will feature two families facing off in the kitchen who are given the task of cooking a total of three meals consisting of classic dishes with a modern spin. Audiences will also get to learn about the families and their stories of connection in the kitchen as well as their favorite foods and personal techniques. The competition will be judged by special celebrity guest judges who will award the winner supreme bragging rights and a $10,000 payday.
“This isn’t your typical food competition show,” Fox said via a press release. “Recipes passed down by generations sometimes tell the story of a family’s rich traditions, that nourish not only the appetite but the soul. We hope to show that meals made with love, and a little bit of friendly competition, can be satisfying to everyone who watches.”
“Family Recipe Rumble” is currently in pre-production and in negotiations for a network and/or streaming home.
