Ice Spice says the album is on the way … finally.

The viral rapper turned pop star stopped by the “Today” show and confirmed to hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that her long-awaited debut album is just about done.

“Yes, there’s going to be an album this year,” the 24-year-old artist shared excitedly. “Soon! I’m so excited. It’s called “Y2K.'”

After being asked about the album title, the Grammy-nominated artist shared her inspiration for the title, but while some fans may think it is a reference to her early 2000s musical style, the “Princess Diana” rapper revealed a more personal but simple meaning.

“I was born on Y2K and that’s why I decided to name it that,” she said referencing her birthdate of Jan. 1, 2000.

When pressed about possible collaborations on the upcoming project, the rapper born Isis Naija Gaston coyly confirmed that there will be special guests but she refused to confirm who the guests may be and simply stated “I have a crazy collaboration that just got locked in, like, two days ago,” while rolling her R’s on “crazy” for extended emphasis.

Though confirming her album title during her “Today” show appearance, some diehard fans made note that the rapper actually revealed the album name in a November 2023 Instagram photo post showing off her then-new lower back tattoo with a caption reading “Y2K! ?/?/24.”

Since hitting the scene in 2022 with the viral hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)”, the Bronx rapper has dropped hit after hit leading up to the release of last years EP “Like…?” which featured hits such as “In Ha Mood” and “Princess Diana,” the latter earning a hit remix with fellow New York rapper Nicki Minaj.

Thus far no release date has been given for “Y2K.”
