DDG and Halle Bailey are more connected than ever now since they have a child together — and that means they won’t tolerate anyone disrespecting their new family.
DDG made that well known on March 3 when a White podcaster named Elijah Schaffer tried to attack Bailey on X — formerly known as Twitter — about her looks. Schaffer initially made a post that said, “When exactly did Hollywood become flooded with ugly people” — and showed a picture of Bailey.

Schaffer didn’t stop there. He later made another post about Bailey — but this time compared her to the character, E.T.

This community is like dealing with special needs children
Hilarious but all their social problems and killing each other nonstop makes more sense the longer you watch how they react online
And they think they won something roasting a dead woman like the internet is a…

Another user then found a picture of Schaffer and his mom together, who the podcaster said was dead after having a rare form of cancer. DDG found out about Schaffer’s tweet and defended Bailey by taking shots at the podcaster’s mother.
“I’m smoking on yo dead a– mama,” DDG tweeted. “That dumb b—- should’ve got a better doctor LMFAO.”
DDG then posted a picture of him smoking a blunt with Schaffer’s mom photoshopped at the end of the blunt. DDG wasn’t the only one that came for Schaffer — Black social media defended Bailey as well.
We don't care. You attacked that girl for no reason. You could have been talking about any other "ugly" white actress (the list is long) but you chose Halle, so you can't be mad at people who clap back. And yeah, no one said anything about you calling yourself ugly bc it's TRUE. https://t.co/fzuV5cPvVJ pic.twitter.com/JIW3bmHQAZ

The Black community sliding for Halle Bailey with the greatest "Yo Mama" in history is absolutely legendary

Anyone critiquing Halle Bailey and/or saying anything negative about her face is just a mean spirited person.
No BS: that girl is BEAUTIFUL.
She literally has such a unique face she doesn’t even look real sometimes. She looks like an actual goddess.
People are just cruel.

My toxic trait is being overjoyed at seeing black twitter cook that racist white man, behind Halle Bailey. She’s our princess, and we too can protect our own. I might have personally left the disses to homeboy alone, but there is no such thing as going too low with racists pic.twitter.com/VlX8wixLiO
