As Donald Trump continues to win primaries in several states, he is also trying to win over Black voters in the process. One person who is not a fan of Trump’s tactics is NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley.

While Trump was recently in South Carolina, he claimed that his mug shots and indictments are what interests the Black voters the most.

“You know who embraced more than anybody else? The Black population,” Trump said. “It’s incredible. You see Black people walking around with my mugshot — you know they do shirts.”

In a sitdown with Gayle King on CNN, Barkley threatened Black voters if he saw them wearing a Trump shirt.

“If I see a Black person walking around with a Trump mugshot, I’m gonna punch him in the face,” Barkley said.

King told Barkley that he’d get arrested if he took those actions, but Barkley was not afraid of the consequences.

“I’m gonna bail myself out and go celebrate,” Barkley said. “First of all, if I was at that [conference], I would’ve got up and walked out. That was an insult to all Black people. To compare Black history, where we’ve been discriminated against, to his plight.

“It’s not a fair comparison,” Barkley said. “He’s a billionaire; he’s had a great life; he’s been President of the United States. To insult Black people who have been discriminated against all these years and put them in the same category, I was just offended.”
