Wendy Williams’ ex-husband demands 2 years of back payments

Fans torch Hunter as an able-bodied man who nonetheless wants to be paid by his ailing ex-wife

Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter has petitioned the court to force the former talk show host to fork over two years of back alimony pay after their divorce.


According to The Sun, Hunter is asking the judge to make Williams pay back 23 months that he is “owed.”


“I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses, and having been without this income for twenty-three months has affected me greatly,” he stated, according to the legal documents obtained by The Sun. Through her guardianship Hunter wants Williams to “immediately pay all severance payments which may be due and owing at the time of this court’s order.”

Hunter indicated that he met with the individual who is the guardian over Williams’ finances but added that they have yet to fulfill their obligation to pay Hunter.


“On December 8, 2022, I attended a mediation with [Wendy’s] counsel and [Wendy’s] New York court-appointed guardian attorney Sabrina Morrissey. In that mediation, [Wendy’s] counsel and guardian agreed to provide statements to accounts and bank records they claimed to have gotten permission from the New York court to provide.”

The newspaper reported that Hunter was told at that meeting that there wasn’t any money, which he does not believe. Therefore, Hunter continues to pursue the back pay that he is allegedly owed.

Fans rip into Hunter

Fans torched Hunter on social media for the audacity of asking for money. Some point out the fact that he started another family while he was still married to Williams yet wants to be compensated nevertheless.

“Sir, respectfully, go get urself a job & wendy u need to go back to court and fight this,” one person penned in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk. Another person barked, “He don’t deserve nothing! BUM.”

“Get a job, my God. This woman is sick, and you are able to get your butt a job a work. Sad,” said another commenter.

“Violated her heavily & still wanting parts of her livelihood is nasty work!” another person wrote.
