Queen Latifah dances and laughs with Princess Tiana and Louis from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The award-winning singer and actor met her new jazz-loving friends near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the newest attraction at Magic Kingdom Park opening summer 2024 and later in 2024 at Disneyland.

After visiting Tiana, Louis, and their bayou friends, Queen Latifah spent the afternoon exploring Magic Kingdom with her family.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is one of the most highly anticipated attractions in the park in years. Based on Disney’s 2009 film featuring the first Black Disney Princess, the ride will mimic the leisurely ride Tiana and her frog prince embarked upon in the movie. Fans will experience the same transition as Tiana’s character as the peaceful outdoor ride suddenly leads to ominous dark segments with a dramatic steep drop followed by a grandiose indoor finale. The drop is a redesign of Splash Mountain, a jaw-dropping 52.4 feet (16.0), sure to register as an exhilarating ride based on one of the park’s most loved characters.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a complete cultural experience, including artwork and an authentic Louisiana musical soundtrack for the ride. New Orleans artist Sharika Mahdi created four paintings, each with a different theme, to inspire the attraction. Grammy award-winning New Orleans musicians PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard provided the attraction’s music. The attraction’s exterior includes a weather vane crafted by Louisiana blacksmiths Darryl Reeves and Karina Roca.

Disney looks forward to welcoming Tiana fans to the park this summer to recreate an experience akin to New Orleans’s culture, which focuses on good food, amazing music, and a huge dose of Southern hospitality. Tiana was happy to welcome the first lady of hip-hop to her new adventure at Disney.
