As Bravo TV administers a much-needed revamp of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in order to resuscitate the show amid dwindling ratings, some of the stars are volunteering to exit the show.

Sanya Richards Ross has followed in the footsteps of longtime stars Kandi Burruss and Marlo Hampton and announced that she is retreating from the glaring spotlight of “RHOA.”

And much like Hampton, the former Olympic track and field gold medalist wants to put forth the right representation for her impressionable young relatives as they approach pubescence.

“My contract with ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ ended when season 15 wrapped,” Richards Ross said in a statement obtained by People. “This break from ‘RHOA’ is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future and not reliving my past.”

Richards-Ross remains grateful for the ‘RHOA’ platform

“My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion and fabulosity!” Richards-Ross continued.

“I am thankful for this amazing platform of Housewives, which has allowed me to bring awareness to foster care, my nonprofit Glam It Up Inc. and showcase my fashion showroom, Le’Archive,” she continued. “I look forward to my continued relationship with Bravo and NBC Universal.”

Let’s tally up the additions and subtractions. Thus far, the only guarantee for Season 16 of RHOA is returning star Porsha Williams. Another longtime cast member, Kenya Moore, is expected to return, though there has yet to be any public confirmation. There is also no word yet on current stars Shereé Whitfield and Drew Sidora.

  1. These statements came from Marlo, not Sanya. Damn, is proof reading and fact checking is really a lost art.

    1. Oooops! When I was reading this I’m like Sanya don’t own Le’Achive and have nor does she have two nephews this sounds like Marlo. Ok I wasn’t going cuckoo.

  2. Whoever wrote this piece, stated the wrong housewife statement. Sanya, has not made any statements. Ms.Marlo Hampton, stated those words.

    1. Probably yt they always comment on BP but never know all the correct info…something I have observed on several platforms when discussing BP business.

  5. I stopped watching it after they sacked Nene. Hell she made the show. The show garbage without her. So. I can care less.
