SZA is starting Lana from “scratch” and will release the “leaks and outtakes” that have appeared online as the deluxe edition of SOS.

The “Kill Bill” hitmaker was upset after her songs were leaked and vowed to take legal action against whoever “stole” her art.

Since then, there have been more leaks. SZA has decided to collect all the leaked songs and outtakes and drop them on the deluxe ASAP, while she is giving herself more time to rerecord Lana.

“Will be dropping the leaks and the outtakes from SOS as promised as the deluxe ASAP. Lana deserves more time and music no one’s ever heard before. Seems fair. Bless, ” she wrote on X.

“So, we’ll make this really simple. Y’all leaked three songs from the deluxe. At this point, y’all can keep the throwaways and leaks. I’ll be starting LANA from scratch. Do not ask me about it again. Thank you,” SZA wrote in a since-deleted post.

”LEAKING MY MUSIC IS STEALING. THIS IS MY JOB. THIS IS MY LIFE AND MY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. YOU ARE A THIEF AND I PROMISE TO PUT MAXIMUM ENERGY INTO HOLDING EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. I AM TIRED ,” SZA fumed on X earlier this year.

“When music leaks it often leads to delays and/or canceling whole projects,” Top Dawg Entertainment President Terrence “Punch” Henderson warned when he shared his client’s post.

SZA previously explained how the deluxe edition ended up turning into a “whole project” of its own.

“The deluxe is a whole other album. It’s called Lana. It’s seven to 10 songs and it’ll be out this fall,” she told fans at a free Brooklyn concert last September.
