“The Talk” will end in December 2024.

The long-running TV talk-show has been renewed for a 15th and final season, with CBS confirming that “The Talk” will receive a “proper sendoff” in December 2024.

“The Talk” broke new ground when it launched 14 years ago by returning daytime talk to CBS with a refreshing and award-winning format.

“Throughout the years, it has been a key program on CBS’ top-rated daytime line-up as it brought timely, important and entertaining topics and discussions into living rooms around the globe,” said CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach and David Stapf, the CBS Studios president in a joint statement.

The statement also recognized the contributions of the show’s co-hosts.

“It goes without saying that hosting and producing a year-round talk show is no easy task, and we express our sincere gratitude to our amazing hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood, our executive producer/showrunner Rob Crabbe and the hardworking producing team and crew.

“We also want to acknowledge our former show hosts and colleagues who contributed throughout the seasons. We truly appreciate the skill, creativity, and dedication everyone involved brought to the show every day. And of course, we thank the numerous guests who appeared, and the millions of viewers who tuned in daily.

“For the final season, we plan to celebrate the show and give it the proper sendoff it deserves when it concludes in December 2024,” the statement read.

“The Talk” first aired back in 2010, when the show was co-hosted by the likes of Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Julie Chen Moonves, Holly Robinson Peete and Marissa Jaret Winokur.

  1. I think it awful that a show of this magnitude is over. The show is very informative , explains everyday issues and more. The hosts are great and and funny.( not argumentive). Why is it all good shows ends and those of know interest remains?. Please reconsider.

  2. I think canceling a third rated daytime talk show for N untried daytime soap opera is a huge mistake. Put the soap on the CW.

  3. Sorry to see the show end, I’ve been watching it from the beginning. This particular team is awesome, love the dynamics and the concept of the show with the new hosts. I have never cried and laughed so much. It’s a feel good show and we all need that. Everyone will be truly missed

  4. I love the talk I have been watching since the beginning hope they reconsider I love the new team they have me laughing all the time Jerry is extra funny cannot be still lol love the info also please reconsider I be looking forward to seeing them every day especially since I retired put soap on another channel I love the vibe they have looks like they have fun we need that love ❤️ 😍

  5. Oh no!! The hosts of the show couldn’t get any better. I’m heartbroken over this news, but I’m hoping by or before December that news will change, and the show will be renewed.

  6. Why don’t you get rid of the View they are always fighting and they do not inform you on anything except fighting. The Talk is informative and full of laughter not one fight and they tell you what is going on in the world not bashing each other. It’s a shame good shows they take off and rotten shows they keep. Who decides what shows to keep and the ones to get rid of. Replace the view and put that Black Soap in It’s place.

    1. I agree . Please cancel The View. You cancel the good & keep the bad. Please reconsider. No more soaps, the ones you have are great, but don’t need anymore.

  7. I love the view, so much laughter, fun and very informative. You take off the wrong shows. They are always so upbeat and positive. Take off that boring, Hoda and Jeanna show. So not interesting. Their talks are very boring.

  8. I love the TALK been watching since it started very informative they show needs to stay no a soap opera .

  9. I am so shocked and upset to hear that The Talk is being canceled. I work full-time so I record the show every day on DVR. It is my comedy escape when I get home from work. The hosts are so funny and they seem like best friends. You can tell they’re having as much fun doing the show as we’re having watching it! Please do not cancel it. It is light-hearted and informative at the same time. It’s just what we need right now. Keep in mind that when ABC canceled All My Children and One Life to Live for two cooking shows, one was canceled after only one season and the other one wasn’t on much longer than that. Why risk a sure thing? As the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
