The offseason for “The Real Housewives of Potomac”—much like the offseason for many sports teams—has been brutal with cuts, as several cast members are leaving the popular reality show, either of their own volition or being unceremoniously dismissed.

RHOP star Candiace Dillard Bassett, 37, recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child with husband, Chris Bassett, 48. She announced that it is “95 percent” the reason she is leaving the show.

Bassett added that she wants to carry the baby to term and usher it into the world within a cloak of tranquility, which probably cannot happen on a popular reality TV show.

“I was really adamant about creating a space for not just the baby, but for me — for us — for this time in our lives,” Dillard Bassett told “Entertainment Tonight.”

“I wanted the space around us and around our child to feel peaceful and to feel free and to feel positive,” she said, “without any added pressure, good, bad or indifferent from the show. I was not confident that I could have that in the space that the show exists in, currently. It was kind of a no-brainer.”

2 other cast members have been fired from ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’

Robin Dixon, meanwhile, confirmed on her “Reasonably Shady” podcast with fellow “Green-Eyed Bandit” Gizelle Bryant that she’s been terminated from the show.

“Yes, I will not be returning for season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac,'” Dixon, 45, said, according to People, which obtained an early copy of the latest episode.

“It’s reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words. I will not sugar-coat the situation and say, ‘Ooh I am walking away and this is a break’ or anything like this. This is a network decision,” Dixon revealed. “I’m okay with it because nothing lasts forever. I’ve had a very long run on the show, and I just really appreciate that time and the opportunity that I had on the show.”

The Jasmine Brand reported that another cast member, Nneka Ihimis, is also being fired after her rookie season.

“The production, they are shaking things up with the cast,” Jasmine Brand said on “Way Up With Angela Yee” on March 25.

“I heard that they’re taking away three people from the show. Allegedly Robyn Dixon is being put on hiatus, there’s Candiace, and there’s another person that won’t return.” That person is now confirmed as Ihimis.
