Actor Jaleel White, who rocketed to fame in the 1990s playing the quirky Steve Urkel character on “Family Matters,” has married his girlfriend, a sports tech executive.

White, 47, the author of the upcoming memoir Growing Up Urkel, exchanged vows with Nicoletta Ruhl in front of 175 family members and friends. The pair held the wedding at the Riviera Country Club in the ritzy Pacific Palisades section of Los Angeles on May 4, according to People

Among the attendees was White’s 14-year-old daughter, Samaya, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Bridget Hardy. Celebrity friends and entertainers at the luxurious venue included Omar Miller, Lamorne Morris, Adam Ray, Mekhi Phifer, and Camilla Belle.

“It was important for all of the people that carry an impact on our daily lives to be present,” Ruhl told the magazine.

The newlyweds changed outfits after the ceremony and treated everyone to a choreographed dance set to Marvin Gaye’s seminal song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”

Jaleel White met his future wife at UCLA

According to the pop culture magazine, the two met during the pandemic while working out on the track at the University of California-Los Angeles in 2021.

Ruhl made the relationship Instagram official on New Year’s Day in 2022, posting a photo collage of the pair cuddled up. “New year, same peeps,” she captioned the post.

When asked by the publication what it meant to officially tie the knot, White said, “We’ve each committed ourselves to loving and helping one another achieve the best possible outcome in anything we set out to do both personally and professionally.”
