Khloé Kardashian took her two children to see their dad, her ex-partner Tristan Thompson, play an NBA game for the first time on May 13.
The reality TV star was seen courtside with their daughter True and son Tatum as they cheered him on at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
Thompson plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were up against the Boston Celics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Unfortunately, Thompson’s team lost. However, the family seemed to have a nice day out, and Kardashian even gave her ex-lover a good luck hug in footage shared by the media.
They were also joined by Kim Kardashian’s son Saint West.
The family’s day out comes days after Kardashian insisted she and Thompson are “not meant to be together.”
She split from Thompson following a series of cheating scandals, despite this, she gets on “so well” with her ex-boyfriend.
“He did make mistakes. [But] he’s the nicest guy, and we get along so well now,” Kardashian told the “SHE MD” podcast.
“We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids. And we do get along so well, and I’m really grateful for that because my parents got along so well,” she said.
The Good American co-founder has made a concerted effort to maintain a good relationship with Thompson since their breakup.
Kardashian previously admitted it would’ve been easier for her to distance herself from the basketball star in light of his paternity scandal.
“With me and Tristan, would it be really easy to never talk to him again and to just badmouth him or whatever? Of course,” she explained to Tmrw. “But it’s way harder to be nice.”
“It’s way harder when you’re really mad at someone, it’s really hard to sit in their face in front of your kids and be like, ‘Hi!'” Kardashian said.
In 2021, it emerged that Thompson had fathered a son with Maralee Nichols, but Kardashian doesn’t have any regrets about how she dealt with the scandal.
“I had to learn to take control of my feelings,” she recalled.
“There were so many times that my feelings got control of me and I was impulsive and … tweeted something or posted something and things that you regret. But in my opinion, I’ll never regret being a nice person,” Kardashian said.
