Jessica Alba will make her return to the big screen in the upcoming action film, Trigger Warning.

Alba’s first feature film role since 2019, she will play Parker, a Special Forces commando who returns from active duty overseas to her hometown to investigate the death of her father. After taking over the family bar, Parker finds herself in a familiar groove with old friends and even ex-boyfriend, now town Sheriff Jesse (Mark Webber). However, a violent street gang terrorizing the town threatens everything.

No stranger to the action film genre with titles like Dark Angel, Fantastic Four and Sin City under her belt, Alba went through extensive training to make the role as real as possible even utilizing Indonesian knife fighting in some of the intense fight scenes.

Directed by Mouly Surya, the action-packed film also stars Gabriel Basso, Hari Dhillon, Kaiwi Lyman and Tone Bell.

Trigger Warning will premiere on Netflix on June 21.
