Throughout Kevin Durant’s career, the one thing that doesn’t get brought up is his relationship status. Durant has not only been rumored to be a single man, but he also doesn’t have any children. He’s been known to be a person who only worries about basketball and lets everything else fall into place. However, he finally gave a reason for why he’s single.

Durant recently signed an endorsement deal with Prime Hydration and did a sit-down interview with Logan Paul and streamer IShowSpeed. The conversation about his relationship status was brought up.

“I don’t want a girlfriend,” Durant said.

“I feel like you got your heart broken one time and that just really f—– you up,” Speed said.

Durant then went into detail on what he thinks about dating, and that none of it has to do with him having his heart broken.

“I wouldn’t say I had my heart broken. I started to understand women a little bit more [as I got older]. Early on, I understood that she’s not mine. Even if she may be my girlfriend, she might be influenced by other people.”

Speed, who is only 19 years old, then tried to give Durant relationship advice. The NBA star was not having it.

“Stop talking to me like I need advice on women, bro. Every time I explain my stance to people they say some s— like that,” Durant said. “Like ‘d— bro you just been hurt,’ but I enjoy spending time with them. It’s just maybe not as long as you like to spend time with people.”

Durant is probably worried about more things than a relationship right now, as he’s currently in Las Vegas getting prepared for the Paris Olympics.
