Morris Chestnut will be a new fixture in Hulu’s hit legal series, “Reasonable Doubt,” as the fan favorite adds more star power to the cast for season two.
The second season of the series finds Jax (Emayatzy Corinealdi) in conflict on a number of fronts both personally and professionally as she attempts to defend her friend Shanelle (Shannon Kane) for killing her husband in self-defense, all while herself dealing with an increasingly contentious marriage as Jax’s own husband Lewis (McKinley Freeman) asks her to choose between him and her career.
Chestnut will play Corey Cash, a dashing media-savvy defense attorney who Jax brings on to assist in Shanelle’s case only to end up clashing with him for a number of reasons that will unravel throughout the season.
The new season will also add Essence Atkins, Kandi Burruss, Melissa Ponzio, and Vaughn W. Hebron to the ensemble cast that also includes Aderinsola Olabode, Angela Grovey, Thaddeus J. Mixson and Tim Jo.
Season two of “Reasonable Doubt” is set to premiere Aug. 22 on Hulu.
