Shante Broadus recently shared her heartfelt memories of meeting Snoop Dogg on “Big Boy TV.” It was nearly 40 years ago when she first laid eyes on the man who would become her husband. Broadus described Snoop as the clown and the rapper during their high school days at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California.

A high school romance

The couple met as teenagers in the mid-80s and attended prom together before graduating in 1989. Their love story blossomed, leading to marriage eight years later. Now, both 52, Snoop and Broadus celebrated 27 years of marriage last month, donning matching pink-and-white outfits.

The secret to their lasting love

Snoop Dogg shared insights into their enduring relationship during an interview on “Today with Hoda and Jenna.” He emphasized that their mutual love has been the cornerstone of their marriage.

Like any couple, Snoop and Broadus face their share of conflicts. Broadus humorously noted that when Snoop occasionally gets an attitude, she knows just what to do: She tells him to shut up and keep pushing. This candid approach to their disagreements showcases their strong bond and ability to communicate openly.

New ventures together

In addition to their personal life, the couple has ventured into business together. They recently opened a strip club, named the Players Club, in Los Angeles, inspired by the 1998 movie starring Ice Cube. This new venture reflects their shared interests and commitment to building a life together.

Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus exemplify a love that withstands the test of time. Their journey from high school sweethearts to a successful married couple is a testament to their dedication and affection for one another.
