In an epic showdown that captivated the gaming community, popular livestreamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed have successfully completed a grueling marathon of “Hardcore Minecraft.” After five days, over 105 hours of gameplay and 42 deaths, these two internet sensations have proven their gaming prowess.

The journey begins

Following a successful collaboration in July — where they played the challenging game “Chained Together” — Cenat and Speed announced on Aug. 14 their plans for a new adventure. This time, they aimed to tackle “Hardcore Minecraft” a version of the game that features permadeath, which means players must restart from scratch upon dying.

Chaos and challenges

Starting on Aug. 17, the duo faced numerous challenges. Initially, they gathered resources and battled Creepers, but the gameplay quickly spiraled into chaos. Streaming on different platforms — Cenat on Twitch and Speed on YouTube — while physically present in Kai’s lavish New York mansion, tensions rose as they encountered repeated deaths. Technical difficulties — including broken internet and Speed’s strained voice — added to the drama.

Arguments escalated, leading to humorous moments, including Speed punching a hole in Cenat’s wall. A therapist even made an appearance to help keep their spirits high.

The internet reacts

As the marathon continued, fans took to social media to create memes and place bets on whether the duo would ever complete the game. Other streamers — including members of FaZe Clan — joined in on the fun, even completing “Hardcore Minecraft” before Cenat and Speed.

Victory at last

Despite the setbacks, Cenat and Speed finally achieved their goal on Aug. 22. The climactic battle against the Ender Dragon was intense, lasting around 15 minutes. With skillful dodging and strategic gameplay, Cenat landed the final blow, leading to a triumphant celebration.

What’s next?

While the future is uncertain for IShowSpeed, Cenat has already announced his next gaming venture: “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.” After his success with “Bloodborne,” fans are eager to see if he can conquer this next challenge. As for their next collaboration, many are hoping for a lighter experience with “Overcooked,” a cooking simulation game that promises to be just as entertaining.

This marathon run not only showcased their gaming skills but also highlighted the power of collaboration and community in the streaming world.
