T-Boz, the iconic singer from the legendary group TLC, has recently cleared up rumors surrounding her health following a hospitalization. On Aug. 24, she was diagnosed with an abdominal blockage after experiencing severe symptoms during a show in Toledo, Ohio, on Aug. 22.

The 54-year-old artist faced sudden and intense nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps, which led to her being admitted to the hospital. This unfortunate incident resulted in T-Boz and her bandmate Chilli canceling several scheduled performances.

In a candid Instagram post, T-Boz expressed her frustration over the public’s speculation regarding her health. She stated, “I would have never put my business out there like that, but I guess because I missed shows it had to be said. I just don’t think it should have been so detailed ‘cause I don’t like people in my business — and I don’t like all this attention.”

Addressing the rampant rumors, she emphasized, “No, I’m not on Ozempic. Everybody and every celeb ain’t on Ozempic, and I just want to say the ignorance is just, like, disheartening to me.” T-Boz highlighted the seriousness of her condition, noting that people have died from what she went through.

She revealed that the abdominal blockage was caused by scar tissue from a surgery she underwent 24 years ago. After three days in the hospital, T-Boz shared that the experience was excruciating, but she feels blessed and is working again. Importantly, she clarified that her health issues are unrelated to her battle with sickle cell disease.

This recent health scare serves as a reminder of the challenges many artists face behind the scenes. T-Boz’s openness about her experience not only sheds light on her personal struggles but also emphasizes the importance of understanding and compassion in discussions about health.
