Rap star Young Dro had to be restrained from laying hands on a prominent member of his crew after that man laughed one too many times at Dro’s arduous journey from drug overdose to sobriety.

Fellow rap mogul T.I. had to intervene to prevent fisticuffs as Young Dro and Tip appeared on Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” on Oct. 14.

Young Dro, whose legal name is D’Juan Montrel Hart, was describing his longstanding drug addiction and eventual overdose as well as his daughter’s struggles with narcotics. Comedian K. Dubb was behind the powerful pair sitting on a couch and telling jokes while Dro described his journey from the dark side and then reemerging as a self-sustaining individual.

Initially, everyone in the room chuckled at the jokes, including Young Dro, Tip and the hosts Chalamagne tha God and DJ Envy. But when the jokes and laughter continued to interrupt Dro’s sobering testimony, the mood inside the cramped studio shifted.

After the third laughing outburst, Young Dro snapped and turned around to issue a threat to K. Dubb.

Young Dro looked ready to lung at K. Dubb

“Alight, you finna get slapped, Dro spat at K. Dub. “I mean, we cool, but I’ll slap the s— out you ’bout that,” Dro stated while staring down the comedian.

“You ain’t gonna slap me now,” K Dubb quickly and defiantly retorted.

“What you wanna do?” Dro threateningly asked.

T.I. intervened and returned the room to normal

T.I. eventually quelled the escalating tensions and restored order in the room.

“Aight, look!” Tip barked in an authoritative tone while pointing his finger at K Dub. “Everybody came in this motherf—– with me. Remember who you came in with! Remember what we doing here, man. Come on, man. Get this s— together, bruh. Aiight?!”

After the room temperature returned to normal, Charlamagne congratulated Young Dro for nearly four years of sobriety.
