In addition to being one of the NFL’s most iconic running backs, Marshawn Lynch is making his mark in Hollywood.

On Friday, Feb. 14, it was revealed that Lynch will appear in the third season of the hit HBO series “Euphoria.” The show, led by Zendaya alongside Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi, follows the lives of teens in a fictional California town. Season 3 has a significant time jump and is anticipated to premiere in 2026. The previous season aired in 2022.

Lynch is no stranger to the screen, having appeared in “Westworld,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and “The League.” His performance as Mr. G in the 2023 comedy Bottoms even earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.

“I’m hella juiced about the show and getting a chance to work with the people in front and behind the camera,” Lynch said in a statement. “At the end of the day, I’m just thankful for the opportunity.”

Lynch will be joined by new cast members Rosalia and Kadeem Hardison. Season 3 will also feature guest stars Darrell Britt-Gibson (She Taught Love), Priscilla Delgado (Julieta), James Landry Hébert (“1883”), and Anna Van Patten (“Gossip Girl”).

However, some familiar faces won’t be returning. “Euphoria” fans were heartbroken by the passing of Angus Cloud, who played fan-favorite Fezco. Storm Reid, who portrayed Rue’s sister Gia, will not return due to scheduling conflicts and commitments to her production company, A Seed & Wings. Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez, announced in 2022 that she would not return due to creative differences, and her on-screen love interest, Ethan Daley (played by Austin Abrams), will also not be seen in the new season.

With big changes ahead, are you more or less excited for “Euphoria’s” return?
