‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!’ streams its 1000th show

Drag entertainment phenomenon reaches historic performance milestone

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!’ will celebrate its 1000th show with a global live stream. This achievement represents a significant milestone in mainstream drag entertainment, with the production having entertained over 500,000 audience members since its inception.

The Las Vegas production is based on the original format of the hit reality show and its current stars including, Asia O’Hara, Ginger Minj, Jaida Essence Hall, Kylie Sonique Love, Morphine Love Dion, and Plane Jane joined on stage by a host of surprise special guests to mark the milestone in March. The live show has featured over 50 different drag performers throughout its run, showcasing diverse talent from across the franchise.

The Flamingo Las Vegas hotel has a storied entertainment history dating back to 1946, hosting legendary performers like Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

Untucked,’ taking viewers behind the scenes.” WOW Presents Plus has grown to over 1.2 million subscribers worldwide since its launch, becoming the premier streaming platform for drag entertainment.


Following the one-off special, season two of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Untucked’ will then air from April 4th, with reigning winner of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 16, Nymphia Wind, joining the cast of returning queens: Derrick Barry, Bosco, Lawrence Chaney, Kennedy Davenport, and Latrice Royale. Each of these performers brings their unique style, with a combined social media following exceeding 10 million fans globally.

Providing backstage coverage will be Cheryl Hole, who found fame on the first series of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ in 2019. Since her appearance on the show, Cheryl has amassed over 500,000 social media followers and become a fixture in UK entertainment culture.

The six-part series transports viewers backstage of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!,’ showcasing a heartwarming cast of fan-favorite queens as they reveal the drama, battles and secrets of their daily lives on the Vegas strip. Each episode provides approximately 45 minutes of exclusive content filmed over three months of production.

The first season premiered in 2024 as WOW Presents Plus’s highest-rated original series since the platform’s launch in 2017, with the new show praised as an authentic and entertaining look behind the curtain of working drag queens. Critics awarded the series an average rating of 4.8/5 stars across major entertainment review platforms.

The milestone event will be broadcast live on WOW Presents Plus for fans on March 15 at 4.30am GMT and will then be made permanently available on the platform. This timing allows viewers across multiple time zones to participate in the celebration, with watch parties scheduled in over 20 countries.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!’ has become one of Las Vegas’s most successful residency shows, contributing significantly to the city’s entertainment economy. The production employs over 75 staff members, including choreographers, lighting designers, sound engineers, and costume creators who work tirelessly to deliver a world-class experience.
