The Millennium Tour is legendary and crucial to the culture. The first installment of the tour took place in 2019, with the late 1990s/early 2000s group B2K as the headliners and hip-hop legend Bow Wow joining as a co-headliner with BSK’s lead singer Omarion in 2020. The fourth installment of the tour, the Millennium Tour 2025, kicked off last month with 25 dates, ending in early May. Singer, dancer, and actor Omarion spoke exclusively with rolling out to discuss the tour and more.

“The Millennium Tour is a special touring class just like the Coachella’s of the world and the other festivals that bring a certain energy together,” Omarion asserted. “For me, this is always amazing. I feel the most alive as an artist when I’m able to tour, because I remember that that was the bridge and the pathway that took me to a different height of success.”

The BET, Billboard Music, and Soul Train Music Award winner reflected on his first tour as an artist in 2002 and shared his experience on this year’s tour.

Omarion recalls small beginnings

“When I first started touring in a group, I remember the first show we did, it was a Scream tour, and nobody knew who we were,” Omarion recalled. “Then after that first show, it was like the next show, then it was like a fan would pop up, and then four shows would go by. And then we had posters and then by the end of the tour we ended up co-heading with Bow Wow. Touring is always exciting, and I’m always happy on tour because I get to turn up the energy of the people that supported me over the 22-plus years, so my experience has been awesome.”

We saved the most critical question for the end and asked if he still had an icebox where his heart used to be, to which he laughed before giving an honest answer.

“No, it melted right on down, and it’s actually pumping hard with love, experience, intention, foresight, awareness, rhythm, depth, soul, life, and balance, you dig?  So, no more ice box, but we are going to sing about it, though!”
