For Earth Day, the world had the opportunity to pause, reflect on issues impacting the environment, and plan to take actions to heal the planet. Reworld’s Community Engagement team led sustainability and community engagement events across the country in an effort to serve the community and raise awareness about environmental solutions. Below are a couple of highlights.
________
In celebration of Earth Month, Reworld Waste partnered with Gunston Elementary School in Fairfax, VA, to support a campus-wide beautification project aimed at enhancing the school’s outdoor learning environment.
Through this initiative, Reworld Waste joined forces with Gunston Elementary’s student environmental group, the Growing Green Leaders, to revitalize the school’s Outdoor Oasis and promote sustainability on campus.
Reworld Waste contributed 100 bags of mulch and sponsored a new picnic table, helping to restore and improve the outdoor space where students engage in environmental education and recreational learning. Team members from Reworld’s Community Outreach and Maintenance Departments worked alongside students, staff, and local families to bring the project to life.
This hands-on effort highlights Reworld’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its ongoing investment in local education and community development.
