Nicki Minaj appears to threaten to expose the underbelly of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation during an impassioned Twitter storm on Thursday, June 19.
Minaj, 42, is still steaming about Lil Wayne, 42, being passed over for the LIX Super Bowl Halftime Show in favor of Kendrick Lamar, despite the fact that Wayne was born and raised and became famous in New Orleans, the site of the NFL championship game.
Many hip hop fans believe that Minaj is aiming her ire in Jay’s direction when she sent off a score of Twitter posts, beginning with this:
“Needing the Barbz is @ an all time high for every distraction,” Minaj wrote on X. “So let me start talking about what I’ve found out. About them. Real juicy. Confirmations. #MakeABaby #BannedFromNO #PaidMoles Order in the court.”
The fact that Minaj added the hashtags #PaidMoles” and “Order in the court,” indicates to fans that Minaj believes there are things that need to be uncovered about the 55-year-old Roc Nation impresario.
Minaj lobs tweet bombs
“They don’t want you to see what I’m liking [on Twitter],” Nicki alleged in another tweet. “So that feature was demolished. Listening devices. Cameras. Car tags. Pages you don’t follow under the ‘following’ section of X now? Hmmmmmm. Do I get paid for that? #MakeABaby #BannedFromNOremix NFL FIRE SOME N***@z & den [phone emoji].”
Remember, Minaj just released a remix of her mentor Lil Wayne’s hit, “Banned from NO,” where the Trinidadian-born spitter made a not-so-subtle reference to Jay-Z by dropping this bar: “NFL FIRE SOME N!GG@z & den [phone emoji].️”
Some believe that Minaj is extremely petty and this was a way to get her name back out there since there has been little talk of her in recent months.
“She’s mad about Megan and Cardi now she’s talking about roc nation….shes so mad they couldn’t get her trending now there’s conspiracies,” said one fan.
Minaj also took a shot at Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez who reportedly had her daughter committed to a mental institution, which Minaj says was under false pretense.
CEO catches a few strays
“All sounds so familiar,” she tweeted. “Trying to tear a husband away from his wife & family with lies & friends in high places. Yuck. No more distractions.”
In another post, Minaj insinuated that Perez was a “sick” person.
“How sick do you have to be to plant listening devices and cameras in your grown daughter’s bedroom? Listening in when she and her husband are intimate. Claiming you do this for love?? No b—h your [sic] just sick #BannedFromNORemix #MakeABaby.”
Neither Jay-Z nor Perez has yet to respond to Minaj’s tweet tirade publicly.
