Cricket Wireless has joined forces with award winning musician, actress and talk show host Queen Latifah and “The Queen Latifah Show,” the most popular new daytime talk show this past season, to drive awareness of Cricket’s new simple, affordable plans and inform why it’s the smart, savvy choice for consumers.

The collaboration officially kicked off during a recent episode of “The Queen Latifah Show” where Cricket helped reconnect two childhood friends and ensured they continue regular communication by providing them with free Moto G smartphones and one year of unlimited wireless voice, text and data service. Amid the tearful reunion, the entire studio audience also received a free Moto G smartphone with three months of free service to celebrate the launch of the new Cricket Wireless and its #STSA, Something to Smile About campaign.

“I’m personally selective about the brands I associate with, and I couldn’t be more excited about Cricket’s goal to provide a high quality and reliable wireless service at an affordable cost to help friends and loved ones stay connected,” said Queen Latifah. “Cricket and “The Queen Latifah Show” share a mission to bring families closer together and give them something to smile about.”

Cricket has big plans for customers to interact with Queen Latifah throughout the year. More details on activities with Queen Latifah and “The Queen Latifah Show” will be shared in the near future.

Cricket offers wireless service on a reliable, nationwide 4G LTE network covering more than 280 million Americans; with easy and affordable unlimited plans starting at $35 a month after a $5 credit for using Auto Pay; a great lineup of phones; a loyalty rewards program; and a fresh, friendly experience in stores and online.
