Actor and comedian Damon Wayans Jr. has just signed on to join the cast of the upcoming New Line Cinema movie, How to Be Single.
The romantic comedy, which is based on a novel with the same name by writer Liz Tuccillo, will feature intersecting stories on being single from the perspective of both sexes touching upon topics such as blind-dating, casual sex, commitment issues, and getting married. The film, to be directed by Christian Ditter, will feature an ensemble cast, including Alison Brie, Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann, Lily Collins and Rebel Wilson.
Wayans Jr. is currently shooting his fourth and final season of Fox’s hit series “New Girl.” Last year he also starred in the most comedic film Let’s Be Cops and voiced a character in Disney’s smash animated film Big Hero 6.
How to Be Single is ironically scheduled to hit theaters on Valentine’s Day weekend next year.
