Claxton Claims She Was Bullied on ‘Basketball Wives’

Before Tami Roman was being slammed for bullying fellow cast member Kesha Nichols, Roman was doing some slamming of her own last season. Roman, who’s been in headlines for an episode of the Shaunie O’ Neal program where she bullied Nichols and robbed her of her purse, is being called a bully again, this time by Meeka Claxton. Claxton, the wife of Speedy Claxton and a former “BBW” cast mate, publicly fought with Roman on several occasions last season culminating in a blow-up in Rome where Roman struck her in the face. With that memory mind, Claxton has released a new blog post calling out supporters of the “Basketball Wives” boycott for their hypocrisy. On her blog, the mother and rea b-ball wife chastises producers and the cast for their change of heart about violence now that advertisers have begun to back out.

“Am I less of a human being?” asks Claxton on her ItsAboutALifestyle blog. “I’m 32, a CEO, a wife and a mommy, I did not sign up for “Bad Girls Club.” […] Am I mad? No, more like I’m disappointed. When I was attacked everyone thought it was funny.  No one thought her actions were disgraceful. As a matter of fact the very same ladies (for lack of a better word) that are “hurt” by the backlash,  joked about me being attacked. They laughed and even called me names for taking a stand against her.” In addition to calling out the cast except for Royce Reed, who Claxton says has remained loyal, the ex-reality show star also mentions media personalities she says ignored her call to action last year over the show’s onslaught of violence. Meeka Claxton, Formerly of 'Basketball Wives,' Says She Was Bullied “What really hurts me are all of the talk-show hosts and journalists that are suddenly disturbed by what they are seeing,” says Claxton. “Taking stands, boycotting, signing petitions etc … Isn’t this what I contacted all of you about last year? I asked for your support, none of which I received. But now it’s a problem? So, it was ok for me to be physically assaulted?  Where was all of this ‘ call to action’ last year?” In the past, Claxton has publicly admonished her ex cast mates noting that “The wives I know do not jump on tables, fight in clubs and yell across restaurants.” Does Claxton have a point or is she just trying to drum up publicity?
