Tiffany “New York” Pollard was once the greatest breakout star in reality TV history, having won over millions of fans as the wannabe girlfriend of Flavor Flav on “Flavor of Love.” Although she didn’t win Flav’s heart, Pollard landed a string of reality shows on VH1, including “I Love New York,” “New York Goes To Hollywood” and “New York Goes to Work.” But since 2009, Pollard’s fame has waned and a new crop of reality TV stars have taken her place. But don’t come Pollard out just yet because the former queen of reality TV says she’s coming back to reclaim her reality TV crown.
Since her reality TV days ended, Pollard has been spotted working on LOGO’s new scripted drama, “DTLA.” In a recent interview with Spoken Entertainment, Pollard explains that she recently shot a pilot for a new reality TV show.
“I’ve been long awaiting a hearty, healthy return to reality television–and the concept would have to fit my life and where it is right now,” said New York, who prefers to be called Tiffany these days. “Fortunately, three weeks ago … I shot a pilot with a brilliant production crew.”
According to New York, who prefers to go by Tiffany these days, her new reality show will be much of the same thing that made fans fall in love with her all those years ago.
“The concept is bananas,” said Tiffany. “When you guys see this. It’s gonna be like, ‘Wow! We couldn’t have seen her or accepted her back in any other way.’ This is true HBIC performance. It’s coming!”
Typically, we’d say that reality TV already has enough over-the-top divas for us to handle but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t interested in seeing what else the original drama queen of reality TV has to offer.
