Nicki Minaj, is racking up the No. 1’s on the movie screen as  The Other Woman was the box office victor over the weekend. The romantic comedy co-starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton opened with $24.7 million in North America, unseating Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Minaj makes her big screen acting debut as Diaz’ opinionated assistant Lydia in the film, directed by Nick Cassavetes.

“I was so nervous,” Minaj said of her role. “I felt a lot of pressure ’cause I am sitting this close to Cameron Diaz and I know if I don’t get my lines right, she has to do her lines over. That pressure was scary.”

The debut exceeded analysts’ forecasts of $17 million by $7 million. This is not Minaj’s first No. 1 film. Previously, she voiced a woolly mammoth in the animated movie Ice Age: Continental Drift, which opened with $46 million in July 2012. –Joi Pearson @joiapearson
