Hip-hop and R&B boy band Mindless Behavior’s name is more indicative of the reaction they get from their fans than it is the young boys themselves.
The frenzied pre-teen fans waited with baited breath outside The Empire Theater in Times Square for Princeton, Ray-Ray, Prodigy and Roc Royal to appear at the screening for the documentary film, Mindless Behavior: All Around the World. Directed by Steven Goldfried of AwesomenessTV, the movie is a behind-the-scenes look at the foursome’s journey from ambitious kids to a pop culture phenomenon and features touching interviews with their parents, their observations on fame and a visit to the boyhood home of their idol, pop icon Michael Jackson.
The guys took the time to actually engage some of their screaming fans before everyone settled in to watch the film, and even the parents seemed to enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of the experience.
“They haven’t stopped screaming for two hours!” exclaimed one mother, wearing a grin just before her young daughter — on cue — burst into hysterics as Princeton began taking pictures of the crowd.
