Wiz Khalifa blasts Tyga over tour: ‘That was just corny’

Rapper Tyga was supposed to be featured on Wiz Khalifa‘s upcoming Under the Influence Tour, but it was revealed earlier this month that he would no longer be taking part. His decision to pull out of the tour apparently annoyed Wiz himself.

Wiz tweeted the news out in mid-July, but he elaborated on his frustrations with the Young Money rapper during an interview with Power 99.

“I’m sure he’ll probably hear interviews of me saying that I thought that it was wack and he didn’t reach out,” Wiz said.

“I’m the type of person, I talk to people when I want to,” he continued. “We cool, that’s the homie, and that was just a wack move.”

While Tyga tweeted that his reason for departing the tour was to shoot a movie and finish his album, Wiz stated that he believes that there was a better way to handle the situation. The Pittsburgh native said that everyone has projects that they’re working on, indicating that he didn’t fully believe Tyga’s reason for leaving.

“I felt like that was just corny, man,” Wiz explained. “We’re better than that ’cause at the end of the day, you don’t say album and a movie just to sound like you got something to do ’cause I did my album before my tour and I’m shooting a movie as soon as I get home off the tour, and I got a son too. At the end of the day, what do you want to do with your life?”
