Jennifer Lopez has temporarily blocked the sale of a sex tape that her ex-husband is trying to market. After a judge issued a ruling last week that allowed Lopez’s ex-husband, Ojani Noa, and his girlfriend, Claudia Vazquez, to sell a sex tape made by the former couple, Los Angeles County Superior Court judges granted the singer a restraining order against Vasquez, the alleged current owner of the sex tape.
According to TMZ, the judge blocked Vasquez’s attempt to sell the former couple’s steamy 1997 honeymoon footage on the porn market, citing that the “American Idol” judge must sign off on the video if it is to be released. Vasquez attempted to argue that there’s no proof that she planned to sell the tape (although she also never denied it), but her claims fell on deaf ears as the judge granted Lopez the restraining order.
Although their actions lack any sort of moral code, from a money standpoint, it’s understandable why Noa and Vasquez would want to sell the tape so badly.
According to PopEater, news of the tape’s impending sale sparked a bidding war among porn companies, with millions of dollars being offered for the sex tape.
“I’ve gotten emails from Pornhub, YouPorn, Pulse Distribution, Red Light District and Kevin Blatt, who brokered Paris Hilton’s sex tape,” said Ed Meyer, Noa’s business manager. “If an offer looks good, we’ll definitely take it.”
This isn’t the first time that Noa has tried to cash in on his former relationship with Lopez. In the past, the “On The Floor” singer and her legal team have shot down attempts by Noa to write a tell-all book about Lopez and to produce a feature film about her.
