South Miami resident Derek Medina, 31, says his wife, Jennifer Alonso, 26, was abusive. To end the alleged domestic abuse, he murdered her. Medina confessed to the crime on Facebook posting the caption: “Rip Jennifer Alfonso;” “I’m going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife love you guys take care Facebook people you will see me in the news.,” underneath a picture of her bloodied face and arms with her body bent backwards at the knees as she lie dead on the kitchen floor of their townhouse. He posted it at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013.
