Kenya Moore on the hunt for a sperm donor

Kenya Moore - BET Awards

It’s been pretty obvious ever since Kenya Moore joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” that she’s been on a mad scramble to find a man to marry her and give her some kids, but it looks like Moore has given up on finding the right man and now just wants a man to give her the right sperm.

In a new interview with Life & Style, Moore explains that she plans on getting pregnant in 2014 and that she’s now on the hunt for a sperm donor.

“I plan to have a baby next year. Within the next six months, I hope to be pregnant,” she said. “I’m going to do in vitro; I just have to figure out whose sperm to use!

And Moore’s hunt may not be long as she claims that she may have a few men in mind to impregnate her. “I have some options — I wouldn’t mind having a modern family,” she said.

As fans of “RHOA” know, Moore’s own childhood was marred by a mother who disowned her and refused to acknowledge that she even existed. Moore has spoken candidly about the heartbreak and emotional scars that her mother’s desertion caused her, but she claims that her troubled past has pushed her to try to be a great mom for her own future children.

“I want to give my babies the childhood I never had,” Moore said. “I want to be there for my children; I want them to know they aren’t invisible.”

For Moore, who has recently claimed that she’s dating an unknown African man, finding Prince Charming is still a priority on her list, but she claims she now wants to find love in her child.

“More important than finding the man of my dreams is meeting the love of my life, and I know that that person will be my future baby,” said Moore.

Well, we hope Moore does get her happy ending, and she certainly won’t be the first star to have a child through alternative means. Check out some other stars who chose in vitro or adoption.
