Vh1 has released new promo for their hit series, “Single Ladies.” The popular sitcom detailing the love lives of single women in Atlanta will premiere in late May on the network.

In the latest promo shot, Lisa Raye McCoy, Charity Shea, and newcomer Denise Vasi will portray a trio of singles who all have different views on love, sex and relationships. Vasi was added to the cast last year after the departure of Stacey Dash who played the character Val.

Vasi, a popular model, will play Raquel, who is described as a successful businesswoman.

Dash’s departure left many wondering if the Queen Latifah-produced program would return. With the addition of Vasi, it looks like the show will be back, and hopefully, better than ever.

Before her departure last year, Dash released a statement noting that the show’s Atlanta location was a conflict for herself and her family.

“I truly enjoyed playing Val on ‘Single Ladies’ but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be in L.A. with my children right now and the ‘Single Ladies’ shooting location makes that impossible,” she said.

The show’s Atlanta shooting location is adding to the city’s reputation as the “new Black Hollywood.” Like VH1, Tyler Perry studios shoots a number of Perry’s sitcoms and movies in the city.

“Single Ladies” premieres May 28 at 9 p.m.

Oh I get why Stacy Dash was axed… ‘Cause if you put Lisa Raye with two unknown actresses, it makes her the “Star”. Boooo! That sh*t is lame Lisa and no matter how hard you try, you’ll never have the class nor the appeal Stacy had as Val. Sorry Pumpkin! Love ya, but let’s keep it really real here and not that fake azz real so many profess about.

PS – Good Luck with the 2nd season! I hope the Stacy Dash stunt double can fill her shoes!  Because although Stacy wasn’t Academy Award material, she brought a whole lot to Val’s character and she will be missed, no matter how much they’ve tried to discredit her departure. Hell, I wouldn’t want to sleep with Queen Latifah either and I definitely wouldn’t want to take a back seat to a Lisa Raye (no matter how far she’s come).
