4 Phenomenal Professional Women You Need: Atlanta’s Leading Ladies

The 2nd Annual Leading Ladies of Atlanta’s intimate and empowering luncheon was a huge success. Event founder and producer, Larvetta Loftin, shared, “We are leading in what God has called us to be. It was time to showcase and celebrate the women who sit at the table with me.”

Loftin is the CEO of L3Eventeurs and served as the keynote speaker, following a panel discussion by the professionals listed below. She advised attendees to “learn, connect and collaborate” with the powerful women among them.


Here are the four phenomenal women who shared their life, business savvy and testimonies.

Adrene Ashford, entrepreneur and wardrobe stylist, Adrene boutique (Castleberry Hill)


HerStory: Adrene is celebrating 10 years as an entrepreneur. Adrene deferred law school for two years before deciding that she loved fashion and it was her true destiny. She’s styled Kimora Lee Simmons, Jennifer Hudson, Melanie Fiona, Derek Blanks, T.I. and many of her friends in college.

She Affirms: “Clothes are empowering. They change the way you act. Some people think fashion is shallow … it brings happiness and joy.”

Stephanie M. Clark, marketing and PR consultant and Essence.com blogger

HerStory: Stephanie is the founder of Project Single Moms Worldwide, Inc., an educational and self-development nonprofit designed to strengthen and engage single moms. (Projectsinglemoms.com)

She Affirms: “God has continued to bless me for a purpose and a season. This is what I was called to do, not [what I] chose to do. For years, single moms have been the forgotten population.”

C. Denise Hendricks, producer, “The Mo’Nique Show”

HerStory: Denise is an award-winning producer, writer and journalist. She’s currently a producer for “The Mo’Nique Show” and spent five years prior as a producer for “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” She’s worked at CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX TV news affiliates. Denise is the founder of the organization TLC² (Total Love for Christ and Children).

She Affirms: “I wanted to change the image of people of color in the news. It’s been an honor to be in this area. Mentoring girls has been most rewarding.”

Amy Wright, senior advertising and marketing professional, IMAGES USA

HerStory: Amy is a seasoned advertising and marketing professional with a strong background in strategy and planning, entertainment, sports, brand development and retail marketing. She developed her own marketing agency for a decade and collaborated with the industry’s largest agencies.

She Affirms: “I always stay true to self. A lot of people in the entertainment [industry] say, ‘I trust you.’ It’s your character that takes you further. People want to do business with people they trust.”
