Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Shooting a Movie Together in May

Hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg and rap’s latest rising star, Wiz Khalifa, have never been shy about their love for marijuana and, now, the two are teaming up this spring to star in a new film, High School, which Snoop describes as “a comedy stoner movie, a little something for the stoners.”

As Snoop explained in an interview with billboard.com, the movie came about after the two began collaborating on music.

“Just being a fan of his music and likewise, he called me to be on a remix,” said Snoop. “And from the remix, we became close friends and spent time together…[We] made six or seven songs and created an idea to do a movie and a soundtrack, and just a bond — to build a friendship and build a brotherhood.”

Having already worked together on the cannabis-loving track “The Weed Is Mine” from Snoop’s forthcoming album, Doggumentary, the pair is currently working on the movie’s soundtrack. Two songs from the project, “That Good” and “Young, Wild and Free,” already have been released.

Filming for High School will begin the first week in May, but no release date has been set for the movie or its soundtrack.

Both Snoop’s Doggumentary and Khalifa’s Rolling Papers are set to be released on March 29.
