Zoe Kravitz, daughter of ‘The Cosby Show’ star, Lisa Bonet and rocker, Lenny Kravitz has followed her dreams and landed a slot on the big screen. She plays the dragonfly winged character, Angel Salvadore, in the new summer smash hit, ‘X-Men: First Class’ and brings a certain sensuality to the cast as the film takes us to the beginning of how the Marvel Comics classic, ‘X-Men’ initially began. While dating her 12 year-senior X-Men co-star Michael Fassbender, she has already fallen in line with Hollywood and its trends which actually, in her case, isn’t a bad thing being that she’s found love.
Despite what many may think, there definitely is more to the spicy actress than just a pretty face. She is very humble and willing to learn in the cut-throat entertainment industry. She’s the July cover model of Asos magazine, and in the interview says, “All that ‘it girl’ s*** makes me kind of uncomfortable. I’m only at the beginning of my career, but I feel successful in that I haven’t sold out in any way, shape or form. Fame has become this obsession for people, which kind of creeps me out.”
Other than movies, Kravitz also dabbles in a bit of modeling. She was named the face of the Vera Wang Princess fragrance. In 2011, she also appeared in ads for the brand’s new fragrance, “Preppy Princess.” Zoe also moonlights as a musician. It seems that she follows in her dad’s rock star footsteps as she is the front woman for the “indie, psychedelic, rock” band Elevator Fight. You can catch Zoe Kravitz in the new X-Men film as ‘X-Men: First Class’ hits theaters Friday June 3.
