What seemed like just another happy hour with the boys after a long day’s work turns out to be a meeting of the minds to plot murder and mayhem. In Warner Brother’s Horrible Bosses, Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day) are fed up. Their targets are their intolerable bosses: a relentless bully (Kevin Spacey), a narcissistic cokehead (Colin Farrell) and a potty-mouthed sex fiend (Jennifer Aniston). There’s one problem, though their angst is pervasive, the trio are amateurs, and they need to enlist a professional to do their dirty work. When they find M. F. Jones (Jamie Foxx) on the seedy side of town, they believe they have a foolproof plan. But wait. Can this tattooed ex-con, really pull this off?

Although Foxx and Farrell are both big contributors to the hilarity in this film, they don’t share any screen time. Sorry, Miami Vice fans.
This side-splitting comedy is peppered with raunchy language and gets an A for its timing and sharp wit. (Run time is 1 hr. 37 min.) –yvette caslin
