A number of prominent Atlantans were guests at a fabulous anniversary party held at Justin’s restaurant in Buckhead on Wednesday, Nov.16.
The occasion — Jamahl King, CEO of Steps Event Planning Firm, held a media dinner to thank all of us who have kept him in business for over 15 years. He got on the mic and announced that it has never been done in the history of Justin’s, to have their entire restaurant shut down to hold an affair but he was able to pull it off. But that’s to be expected, after all King gives elaborate parties throughout the country for celebrities, corporations and just about anyone who wants to host a first class affair.
Fifty V.I.P. guests were treated to a private candlelight dinner with special musical guests K Michelle, and Disturbing The Peace artist Rudy Currence. Both artists shut it down! It was an amazing affair. When asked why throw a party for the media, King said, “without you guys, I wouldn’t be!” He said he wanted to express his appreciation because he knows media pay is not much and most are somewhat under the radar in terms of recognition — and he appreciates the attention and coverage his clients and events have received.
King also recognized his staff and thanked them as well, acknowledging the collective effort.
Chef Jay created a tantalizing meal for guests to enjoy which included:
- Warm Green Salad
- Choice of Grilled Curry Chicken Breast
- Sea Bass or Sliced Flat Iron Steak
