This time of year is beautiful: falling leaves, a deeper blue sky, colorful winter foliage, the last of the migrating birds. After the dishes are done and the leftovers distributed, grab another like-minded adult and take a brisk walk. Housebound kids need an outlet as well. Promote their rediscovery of the outdoors and engage them in a rousing game of hide-and-seek or touch football. Exercise apps for the X-box are great for inclement weather. How fun would it be to downhill ski from the Florida Panhandle or sunny Dallas?
