Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe
Debbie Rowe, the mother of Jackson’s first two children, Prince Michael and Paris, originally gave up legal rights to their children in 2001. But when Michael was accused of child molestation in 2003, Debbie filed for temporary custody, claiming Michael’s trial was distracting him as a parent. The battle waged on for years, but in 2006, Debbie and Michael reached an out-of-court settlement, with Debbie giving up all visitation rights and receiving alimony payments of $750,000 a year.
