Death Row Records Signs MC Hammer
In the late ’80s and early ’90s, MC Hammer was doling out commercial hit after commercial hit. But when his career began to wane in the mid-90s, Hammer decided to make himself over as a bad boy and signed to the infamous Death Row Records, the home of his close friend and real bad boy, 2Pac. However, Death Row never released his album Too Tight and after ‘Pac’s death in ’96, Hammer left the label.
