There’s no best time of the day to receive a massage. It really depends on the client’s schedule. Some clients prefer their therapeutic massage session during their lunch hour or to close out their evening after a long day.
Can you be too young or too old to receive a massage?
… I recommend 21 years or older to receive services from Profound Touch Mobile Spa. Parents can give their children massages at home at any age. Touch is extremely powerful, even at birth. Can you be too old for massage? There are a lot of factors involved as you get older. I’d say no. Only if the elderly are able to handle the administered pressure techniques and if there are no contraindications [i.e,. medication, illnesses, etc.] involved.
What are some precautions that clients should take prior to getting their first massage?
Tell the therapist important information; some clients aren’t aware they cannot receive massages without a doctor’s consent if they have certain conditions such as a slipped disc, fractures or infections, if they are on blood thinners or any other medications; or if there are any cuts, bruises, damaged skin any physical or mental conditions, etc.
Speak Up: Don’t be afraid to communicate with the therapist. If you are experiencing any discomfort during the massage session, please let the therapist know immediately. Finally, it’s important to have proper hygiene and avoid wearing a lot of cologne/perfume or oils on your body, and dress comfortably.
