Olivia Finally Has an Emotional Breakthrough
After being accused several times throughout the season of being emotionally cut off from the people around her and her music, Olivia finally digs deep into her life and lets it spill onto the page — or rather her BlackBerry — as she teams up with producer Jerry Wonda to create a song inspired by her strained relationship with her mother. As Jerry strums away at his guitar, Olivia sings about her pained desire to be closer to her mother and finally begins to let viewers see the woman behind the steely attitude and beautiful mug.
