THE CORNUCOPIA
The first thing Katniss sees when she lands in the arena is the Cornucopia, described as a “giant golden horn shaped like a cone with a curved tail.” It’s filled with helpful items – weapons, food and equipment, luring the tributes into a bloody battle for the spoils.
