By all rights, Melissa Gilbert should have been on the chopping block of this week’s results show. She and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovsky, failed to impress the judges with their routine and wound up at the very bottom of the leaderboard. But despite their lackluster performance, fans threw their weight behind the pair and they ended up escaping the ax.
