Shaunie Contemplates Stepping Away From the Show
For months, Shaunie O’Neal has been receiving heavy flack from the public and the press for creating “Basketball Wives.” And now, she’s finally letting the cameras into her whole ordeal when she talks to her pastor about “BBW.” Shaunie explains that she feels horrible about Jennifer and Evelyn’s friendship falling apart on camera and that she feels responsible for it and all the other problems among people who were once friends. She also says that she can no longer defend her show against criticism and that when she’s in business meetings, she wonders if other people, especially black people, think of her as nothing more than a “hot ghetto mess.” Shaunie then reveals that she thinks it may be time for her to leave the show to save her friendships, her business and her sanity.
